Kokarje is a place, that after the Treaty of Saint-Germain belonged to Yugoslavia and was situated in the administrative region Gornji grad.
Kokarje was formerly part of the German Empire. In the German Empire, the place was called Kappel an der Drieth. The place is now called Kokarje and belongs to Slovenia.
