Kaniža is a place, that after the Treaty of Saint-Germain belonged to Yugoslavia and was situated in the administrative region Maribor levi breg.
Kaniža was formerly part of the German Empire. In the German Empire, the place was called Unterferntal. The place is now called Kaniža and belongs to Slovenia.
